We hope all products you buy from DSS give you complete satisfaction, however, sometimes an item needs to be returned. This policy sets out how we handle returns.
Returns must be initiated and postmarked or have a shipping label dated within 30 days from the date of purchase. No item can be returned after 30 days from the date of purchase.
The returned item must be unused, unopened, undamaged and in its original packaging.
You must also have a copy of your original invoice or purchase order and include it with the returned item(s). Please include a written summary why the item was rejected (i.e. defective, damaged on arrival, incorrect item, no longer needed, too many shipped).
Special Order (non-stock) items and opened personal protective equipment (due to Covid-19 and health and safety protocols) cannot be returned regardless of the date of purchase.
Direct Safety Solutions will only pay or reimburse the freight costs of items shipped in error or defective upon arrival to the customer. These situations must be confirmed with Direct Safety Solutions before return. Otherwise, the customer is responsible for all return freight and insurance charges.
Direct Safety Solutions reserves the right to charge a restocking fee on any returned item.
Once the returned package is received the item(s) will be inspected for damage or misuse. If the product is determined to be in new condition the refund will be processed. Please note original shipping charges are not subject to refund. If the product is damaged through misuse some or all the original purchase price may be withheld to repair the item or replace it at the discretion of Direct Safety Solutions.
If the item is damaged through no fault of the customer or the shipper, the vendor/manufacturer warranty applies as the primary warranty.
